Notes from conversations with Angiolina Rossi the summer of 1998

(the owner of the tabacco shop in Torricella Peligna, relative

of those at Contrada Aspromonte and childhood resident of

Contrada Aspromonte): She is commonly called Rosina rather than

Rosa. She was married to Francesco Rossi. Francesco Rossi, who

married Rosina Aspromonte, and Nici Rossi, who married Nicola

Aspromonte, were brother and sister. Therefore, a brother and

sister married a brother and sister. The twins Rinaldo of Paris,

France and Giuseppe of Montreal, Canada were the oldest. Then,

they were followed by Angiolina of Paris, Domenica of Montreal

and Gianna of Montreal. She died in 1977.
