Nicola was born about 1731 in Torricella Peligna, the son of Giosia Aspromonte and Antonia Porreca.

He died on 27 JUL 1823 in Torricella Peligna.

His wife was Palma Teti, who he married on 26 JUL 1755 in Torricella Peligna, Chieti, Italy. Their six known children were Rosa Maria Domenica (1756-1832), Giosia Carmine (1758-1841), Carmine Antonio Camillo (c1760-1847), Maria Giuseppa Anita (c1761-1845), Donato Antonio Carmine (c1763-1834) and Maria Antonia (c1774-1847).

DEATH-CIVIL: At 8pm at home at the age of 98. Born in

Torricella Peligna, farmer, lived on Strada della Piane.

Deceased parents, Giosia Aspromonte and Antonio Porreca, both

farmers. Deceased wife, Palma Teti. Death declared by Donato

Aspromonte, 60, farmer, son of deceaseed, living on Strada delle

Piane, and Enrico Ficcaglia, 24, profession uncertain

(daticola or vaticale), nephew or grandson of the deceased

(nipote), living on Strada della Piazzetta. Signed by Enrico

but not by Donato because he did not know how to write. Note

that Enrico Ficcaglia appears to be Donato's son-in-law, i.e.,

the husband of Nicola's granddaughter Maria Rachela, not a

nephew, not a grandson.

DEATH-CHURCH: About 90 (nonagenti). Parents, Iosia and Anne

Antonie Porreca.

AGE: Parents married in 1730. So, unlikely he was 98 at death

as stated in civil death records. More likely, 90 as in church

records. On death of sister Domenica in 1832, 78. Also 98

given as age of death on marriage of granddaughter Maria

Vincenza Aspromonte in 1834. Also 98 at time of death on 27

July 1823 per civil marriage records of granddaughter Palma Rosa

Aspromonte in 1845.
