Note 1

Occupation: Weaver (tessitrice)

!MARRIAGE: Book 1766-1848, p.58b. Not sure of the date.

Originally had written 1743. That is not possible because it

out of the period of time being covered (1766-1848). I assume I

had mistaken the 9 for a 4. Therefore, the year of marriage was

1793 rather than 1743. It is also possible that the 3 is an

8. Therefore, the year of marriage could be 1798.

NAME-PARENTS: I assume this Mariantonia is the daughter of

Nicola Aspromonte and Palma Teti. However, there is also the

possiblity that Mariantonia is the daughter of Domenico

Aspromonte and Caterina Di Marino. The daughter of Domenico was

born in 1782 whereas the daughter of Nicola was born in 1774.

If the date of marriage is indeed 1793, the daughter of Domenico

would have been too young to get married (11 years old). If the

date of marriage were 1798, she would have been 16 years old.

The daughter of Nicola, on the other hand, would have been 19

years old and 24 years old, respectively. The first child of

Mariantonia and Alesandro Furia was born in 1799 and the last in

1811 from the records I have collected. These dates would work

well with either Mariantonia.

DEATH-CIVIL: Farmer. Parents, Nicola Aspromonte and Palma

Teti. Date of 11 May conflicts with 12 May on church registry.

DEATH-CHURCH: Age 73. Parents, Nicolai Aspromonte and Palma

Teti.
