Chiara was born about 1810 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the daughter of Falco DeVitis and Anna Rossetti.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Nicola Rossetti, who she married in ABT 1831. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Giuseppe (1832-1843), Anna (1834-?), Maddalena (1836-?), Rosa Maria (1838-c1838) and Rosa Maria (1840-?).

Her second husband was Costantino D'Amico, who she married on 30 SEP 1843. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Domenica Clementina (1844-1844), Pasqua Rosa (1844-1844), Alfonso (1845-1846) and Antonio Alfonso (1848-?).
