Maria was born about 1790 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of Crescenzo d'Angelo and Diodata Scamolla.
She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Lodovico Cianfaglione. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Diodata (c1810-1811), Pietro (1812-1816), Rocco (1816-?) and Lodovico (1819-?).
Her second husband was Carmine Antonio deStephanis, who she married on 26 FEB 1820 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy. Their four known children were Maria (1821-?), Raffaele (1825-1825), Raffaela (1828-1829) and Crescenza (1831-?).
