Giuseppe was born about 1774 in Bugnara, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Venanzio Marsilio and Maria Giovanna DiFiore.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Rosalba DiVito. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Francesco (c1799-?), Giovanni (c1802-?) and Carminantonia (c1807-1810).
His second wife was Crocifissa DiBacco. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Margherita (1814-?).
