Saverio was born about 1820 in Bugnara, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Carlo Ventresca and Giovannarosa DiFilippo.
His wife was Clementina Schiavo. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Maria Domenica (1864-1864), Nicola Domenico (1856-?), Maddalena (1859-?) and Anna Felice (1862-?).
