Bartolomeo was born about 1784 in Bugnara, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Felice Nolfi and Rosa Nolfi.
His wife was Carmina DiFiore. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Maria Giovanna (1812-1813), Felice Antonio (1814-1818), Giovanna Antonia (1817-1818), Giovannantonia (1819-1821), Caterina (1821-?) and Maria Ignazia (1825-?).
