Maria was born about 1776 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of unknown parents.
Her husband was Carmine Petrella, who she married in ABT 1794. The place has not been found. Their eight known children were Angela Teresa (c1795-1824), Irene (c1796-?), Raffaele (c1800-1821), Giuseppe Antonio (c1810-1812), Rocca Antonia (1812-1823), Maria Luisa Elisabetta (1815-?), Fioralba Raffaele (1818-?) and Maria Giovanna (1821-1824).
