Pietro was born about 1772 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Giuseppe Tedeschi but his mother is unknown.

His wife was Crescenza Pizzoferrato. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Maria Francesca (c1800-?), Giuseppe Loreto Antonio (1813-1814), Maria Giuseppe (1815-1816) and Maria Giuseppe (1817-1818).
