Giambattista was born about 1837, the son of Niccola Strozza and Candida Notareschi. The place is not known.

His wife was Caterina Bruno. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Adele (1868-1873), Angelo (c1872-?), Domenico (1876-?), Sabatino (1882-?), Luigi (1885-?) and Berardino (1890-1892).
