Filippo was born about 1768 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the son of Sr. Rossetti but his mother is unknown.

His wife was Savierina Fanti, who he married in ABT 1808. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Vincenza Rachele (1809-1842), Giovanbattista (1813-1813), Angela Dea (c1814-?) and Berardino Isaisa (1815-<1869).
