Giovanna was born about 1777 in Campo di Giove, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of Fiore Nanni but her mother is unknown.
Her husband was Camillo Spadafora. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Maria Giuseppa Carmela (1811-?), Vincenzo Domenico Antonio (1814-1814), Gemma Maria (1815-?) and Pelino Vincenzo (1815-?).
