Francesco was born in 1784 in Colle Delle Croce, the son of Michael Moffa and Crescenza Ciocca.

He died on 16 MAR 1869 in Riccia, Campobasso, Italy.

His wife was Rosa Ricci, who he married in ABT 1808. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Anna Marie (1811-?), Gaetano (1814-1816), Gaetano (1818-1863), Giuseppa Maria (1821-?), Giovanni Nicola (1823-?), Crescenzo (1825-1854) and Saverio (1828-1828).
