Ernesto Martinelli Sr., 96, of Sutersville, died Friday, Aug. 20,

1999. He was born Aug. 14, 1903, in Lettaopalene, Italy, a son of

late Croce and Maria Palmieri Martinelli. In addition to his pare

he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose DeNoble Martinelli; a

daughter, Mary Martinelli; and a son, James Martinelli. He was

retired from the Pittsburgh Coal Co., Warden Mine, and was a

bartender for the Moose Club of Sutersville and also of the WMBU

of Blythedale. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church of

Sutersville, the Moose Club of Sutersville, the national organiza

of the AARP and the WMBU of Blythedale. Survivors include a daugh

Jenny Zowacki of Sutersville; two sons, Ernest Martinelli and wif

Stella, of West Newton and Dominick Martinelli and wife, Joyce, o

Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Caroline Rossetti of Elizabeth Townshi

14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
