Francesco was born about 1766 in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of Giovanni Alessandro Margiotta and Loreta Iacobucci.
His wife was Anna Maria diCasoli, who he married in ABT 1788. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Rocco Antonio (c1789-?), Gaetano (c1800-?) and Anna Francesca Gelsomina (1811-?).
