Rosa was born about 1796 in Bugnara, L'Aquila, Italy, the daughter of Domenico LaMarca and Crescenza DiVito.
Her husband was Domenico Iannessa. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their seven known children were Maria Domenica (1819-1819), Angela (1821-?), Nicolantonio (1824-?), Carmine Antonio (1827-1827), Crocifissa (1828-1829), Venanzio (1833-?) and Giuseppe (1837-?).
