Antonio was born in 1818 in San Valentino, the son of Fernando Gigante and Rosa Comarci.
His wife was Anna Veracci. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Giacomo (1855-1860), Rosa (1856-1856), Giovanni (c1858-1860), Cesidio (c1860-1860), Domenico (1862-?) and Maria Giustino (c1864-?).
