Domenico was born about 1845 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy, the son of Sabatino D'Amico but his mother is unknown.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Anna Giustina Cavicchia, who he married in ABT 1872. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Pasquale (1874-1959), Teresina (c1875-?), Maria Antonia (1877-?), Maria Elisabetta (1878-?) and Vincenza (1882-?).

His second wife was Maria Domenica Silverio, who he married in BEF 1883 in Lettopalena, Chieti, Italy. They had no known children.
