Loreto was born about 1823 in Bugnara, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Reginangela Marsilio. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were Giovannantonia (1846-1846), Giovanni (1847-1847), Francescantonio Nicola (1849-1851), Antonia (1851-?), Francesco (1854-?) and Pasquale Gerardo (1856-?).
