Marino was born about 1820 in Bugnara, L'Aquila, Italy, the son of unknown parents.
He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Rachele DiBellis, who he married in ABT 1840. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Carmela (1846-?), Giuseppe (1849-?), Vittorino (1851-1862), Candida Maria Domenica (1855-?) and Pasquale (1860-?).
His second wife was Carmela Antonia Incorvati. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Crescenzo (1836-1836).
